Doogee unveiled its latest tri-proof phone with a smartwatch-like second screen

Chinese durable phone maker Doogee has unveiled the S98, which has a smartwatch-like secondary display in the middle of its rear camera array, a battery that lasts three days, and a 20-megapixel night-vision camera.Like Doogee’s other adventure smartphones, the S98 is 15.5 mm (0.6 in) thick and a bit chubby, but users don’t need a smartphone case to protect it, as it already meets mil-STD-810G and benefits from an IP68/IP69K seal, so it can shed dust,Soak in 1.5 meters (5 feet) of water for at least 30 minutes.The FRONT of the S98 is a 6.3-inch FHD+ (2400 x 1,080) LCD display, 409PPI, 19:9 screen with a Corning gorilla glass, and in the center of the rear camera array is a round touch display similar to the P50 Pocket,For clock functions, music playback controls and at-a-glance notifications.Flanking the rear smart display is a three-camera setup that includes a 64 megapixel F1.8 main camera with a 20 megapixel night vision camera, using two infrared sensors and a SONY IMX350 image sensor and an 8 megapixel F2.2 wide-angle camera, as well as a dual LED flash module.On the front is a 16-megapixel selfie camera based on the Samsung S5K3P9SP sensor.Doogee S98’s smartwatch-like smart display separates the three camera arrays, allowing for time checking and notifications at a glance, as well as music playback controls.Internally, the S98 uses a Mediatek Helio G96 chipset with two Cortex-A76 cores at 2.1ghz, six Cortex-A55 cores, and a Mali G57 graphics chip.It has 8GB of internal memory and 256GB of storage (with SD card expansion).Other key specs include Android 12’s user experience, security and software update three-year warranty, 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.1, a fingerprint scanner on the side, and a large 6,000mah battery for two to three days of normal use, or 18 days in standby, and support for 33W quick charging and 15W wireless charging.The S98 is now available for pre-order and costs $339.
